Having worked as an industrial designer at Omnitech Playgrounds for three years, I have found a passion for the design of community spaces and the products which help make these spaces great. Working across a wide variety of projects for clients ranging from large developers to local councils and schools, I have gained an appreciation for the uniqueness of each space, and have taken great enjoyment in the task of getting the most value out of each one of them.

Such a role has been perfect for me in being able to exercise traditional industrial design skills. With an in-house manufacturing team, I have been able to take many new products from conception through to production, to add to Omnitech’s ever-growing range of playground equipment. It has also given me the opportunity to dip my toes into the world of landscape architecture and urban planning, with multiple projects giving me the creative freedom to re-imagine the space as a whole, with the brief extending well past just the playground itself.

It excites me greatly to have found this niche between industrial design and landscape architecture, and it is a space which I am excited to explore further as my career progresses.
