A wholely custom play unit completed for TRACT for the Smiths Park housing development in Clyde North.

This project demanded the use of timber with natural log uprights to accentuate the unit’s location within one of the two large greenspaces within the estate. Surrounded by garden beds and mudstone rock used as informal seating, the unit begins with a low ropes course, inviting users into the space.

An ensemble of inclined and vertical rope nets, as well as a central rope bridge then lead users onto the unit’s main platform. This along with a large tube slide provides older users plenty of climbing activites, whilst under deck sensory panels and an activity cubby give ample opportunity for imaginative play for juniors.
